Shortage Occupations
The following occupations are listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of the Canadian National Occupation Classification List (NOC).
Your experience must be within the past ten (10) years, and must correspond to the Canadian occupational definition of your listed migration occupation.
Hence, the importance of correctly documented work experience references to ensure you are awarded experience points (FACTOR 3 points) in your listed occupation.
Canada also maintains a separate list of RESTRICTED OCCUPATIONS in respect of which work experience points cannot be allocated.
You may be eligible to immigrate to Canada under a Federal Skilled Worker Visa if you have at least one year of experience in one or more of the following in-demand occupations:

- Electricians (Except Industrial and Power System)
