The following points calculator is for those wishing to extend their leave to remain under the General Highly Skilled Migrants sub-category from the current Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP). All HSMP visa holders seeking an extension to their HSMP visa are required to test under the new Tier 1 for General Highly Skilled Migrants rules since 29 February 2008.

UK Experience* Work experience gained in the UK

UK Work Experience with earnings of over 16,000 GBP - 5 pointsNo UK Work Experience - 0 points

Earning Power* (Maximum 45 points)

Please state below recent gross earnings in UK Currency. You will gain 5 to 45 points under this sub-category depending on earning power.

Income over last twelve months in UK Currency.

If you are under 34 years of age you will gain points based on age.

English Language Requirement*
