ABEO Violeta

Bought these boots for our 2 week trip to Europe. Stood up to the rugged cobble stone walkways, climbed all the way up the 257 steps to the top of the Tower of Pisa. Boots are not only very comfortable but are also very stylish! I wish they had more in my size.

These are so comfortable! The foot bed fits my high arch perfectly, unlike some of the other ortho brands I've tried. I got my usual size and the length is perfect. The toe box is almost too spacious for my narrow feet but with socks, they're good. One star off for the problematic outer zipper. It's hard to reach without sitting down and the nubeck is flexible and buckles a bit so it's hard to pull up the zipper. Hoping it will improve when they're more broken in. They are somewhat generic-looking but still cute enough not to look frumpy. Even better, they're waterproof so will be perfect for all-season traveling.

Unlike most of my ABEO boots, these did require about 3 days breaking in around the house. They probably would have been fine, but the leather at the front of my ankles was a bit stiff, as was the top over the instep. I normally wear a 9 in tennis shoes and dress boots and a 9.5w in hiking boots. The 9 is the correct size for me. Love the lug soles!

With bunions and wide feet it is hard to find a shoe aside from a sneaker that is comfortable from the first wearing. It has become my everyday boot.
