Yes, these shoes are a medium width with the insoles in. If you take out the insoles as a previous commentator stated, the shoe states wide with and it gives your feet more room. Shoe stretchers are a plus to have, they are pretty reasonable in price, especially if bought online. All in all a nice well made shoe. I like the extra yellow shoe laces too.

These shoes do run a bit narrow. If you take out the insole, you will columbia the words "wide width" stamped inside. Something is off. I am a size 8 M and I purchased the 38. They are snug, long enough but narrow. Several things you can do and to advantage of this sale. Make the laces loose. Take the insole out of them, it is super thin but that will give you a bit more room. Break them in slowly. I bought three pair because they are leather and once they stretch and mold to my feet, they are going to be awesome. Subjecting them to heat in the summer will fine tune the stretch. The shoes are so well made and the sale is just insane. I am willing to work with them.

I love the arch support, stability and the look of these Soft 7 runners. I wear them to work, walks, on errands. First pair in white purchased in a sticks and bricks (so miss Walking Company stores) loved them so much that when I found black on a fantastic sale, I ordered those. Last week I treated myself to the adorable blue on mens. Other reviews say they run a little narrow, true but that works for my feet. Hope this style isn't being discontinued. The only negative is the the white sole tends to "yellow" over time.
