adidas ops zx flux with gold bottom of foot and ankle, adidas has teamed up with South African designer Thebe Magugu for an inclusive sports range that celebrates African heritage and kinship.
Comprised of both footwear and apparel items, the adidas ops x Thebe Magugu Fall/Winter 2022 collection highlights high-tech fabrics, recycled materials, inclusive sizing, and gender-neutral pieces. Vibrant designs are featured throughout to celebrate Magugu’s heritage including women dancing. Additionally, each garment features an abstract selection of bright and punchy colors including, impact orange and yellow, accents of shock pink, and backgrounded by pulse lilac.
Items in the range include a three-piece swimwear set, high-performance tennis pieces, a cropped T-shirt, and leggings. In terms of footwear, signature adidas ops silhouettes are being offered up including the Stan Smith, Nizza Platform, Astir, and Forum.
“I’m infinitely inspired by the energy of the women in my life and the heritage of my native land,” said Magugu in an official press release. “Bringing together such personal stories through design and blending them with adidas’ iconic performance and lifestyle pieces has been an amazing process. The collection really celebrates all the positive influences around me and a sense of community that is so important to me. I hope it inspires the same joyful feeling in those who wear it.”
