Japan and NYC meet on the upcoming Awake NY x ASICS GEL-Lyte III. Angelo Baque shows off his knack for color design with a stunning yellow/blue palette that feels equal parts collegiate and artistic.

This ASICS GEL-Lyte III has a “Della Robbia Blue” corduroy base on the toebox, mid, and ankle collar. The rest of the sneaker features golden yellow suede that matches the front outsole and ASICS branding on the heel. The upper also includes grey accents on the rear overlay, mudguard, and GEL-Lyte III branding that is embossed on the side of the heel counter. The ASICS vector is made with a transparent overlay and frames a small grid on the sneaker’s center. The tongue has a split appearance to offer modern comfort and style. A grey outsole and white midsole complete the design.

This Awake NY x ASICS GEL-Lyte III is rumored to release in the next couple of days through select retailers. An ASICS release date is expected to follow shortly.
