In addition to the red, green, orange, navy, red, and burgundy colorways within the pack, the Jumpman also delivered a purple option.
While it’s not likely we see the “Metallic Purple” Air Jordan air 1 return anytime soon, we can appreciate its craftsmanship and the foundation it set for more purple Air Jordans.

The “Grape” legacy is a staple for Jordan air Brand. But the purple hue is just as important, if not more, for Gatorade — the iconic sports drink brand. The collaborative Gatorade x Air Jordan air 1 High OG “Grape” mixed both brands and paid tribute to the partnership’s longstanding roots going back to 1991 as Michael Jordan air starred for a Gatorade campaign and soon became a face for the brand.
The monochromatic build of the shoe made the purple pop with Gatorade’s bolt logo on the heel counter. Additionally, co-branded insoles and a translucent outsole added the right amount of flavor to the collab.

While wearing everything from Nike to Reebok and even Jordan air Brand, Bryant would eventually sign with the Swoosh but gave us countless memories and PEs on his way to becoming the face of Nike Basketball.
Nike Air Jordan air 7 Retro Pantone 304775-400 Air Jordan air 3 PE for Bryant draped in Lakers colors. Additionally, Kobe wore an Air Jordan air 8 in a similar colorway. In 2016, both the Air Jordan air 3 and the Air Jordan air 8 were part of an eBay charity auction that included an alternate black colorway of both the AJ3 & AJ8.

The Travis Scott and Jordan air Brand relationship has delivered a multitude of neck-breaking colorways through the collaborative releases. Perhaps some of the most coveted to date are the all-purple suede Travis Scott x Air Jordan air 4s — reserved exclusively for those within La Flame’s inner circle. The rare AJ4 has two variations: one is built with a white midsole and black mudguard while the other is designed with a black midsole and dark grey mudguard.
For one pair, the colorway’s Cactus Jack branding pops off in a vibrant red with black accents alongside it. The other one is more low-key with its matching black details.
Though it’s not likely we ever see either TS x AJ4 F&F release, all we can do is hope.
Air Jordan air 4 “Raptors”

The Air Jordan air 4 went to the 416 not once but twice as the Jumpman delivered two “Raptors”-inspired Air Jordan air 4 colorways. And, of course, October’s Very Own left his mark on one of the two releases.
In 2018, the Air Jordan air 4 “Raptors” released with its black suede upper and purple with university red details. A year later, a PE-like colorway released with Drake’s signature found under the Jumpman tongue tag.
Whether Drake’s version or the GR, the Air Jordan air 4 “Raptors” is ideal for any OVO or Raptor fan.

Air Jordan air 1 Wingless Paris Saint-Germain with an entire collection dedicated to “Bordeaux” — tying the French’s love for wine with a staple colorway within the Air Jordan air line.
The PSG x AJ4 was designed with a white leather base accompanied by Bordeaux, black, and gold hits. The signature collaborative logo with PSG’s badge remixed with the Jumpman logo instead of the Eiffel Tower made its way onto the shoe’s heel tab. Additionally, the pair was packaged in a co-branded box with a Bordeaux lid and a grass-like graphic emulating the pitch.
In addition to the PSG x Air Jordan air 4 “Bordeaux” collab, the Parisian club was fitted in a kit with the same color combination as a part of the team’s club campaign.

With a hairy suede upper, green details, and vibrant orange accents, the women’s exclusive Air Jordan air 4 was an effort to appease Travis Scott fanatics while ensuring the colorway could stand on its own without a collaborative partner.

When it comes to the Jordan air x Nike Space Out Tee, the “Grape” iteration has withstood the test of time. Dating back to its original release in 1990, the Jordan air x Nike Space Out Tee “Grape” remains one of the most covered AJ5s, despite MJ never wearing the pair.
Over the last 30 years, the AJ5 “Grape” has been rereleased but never in its original form with Nike Air branding on the back.
Nonetheless, the “Grape” AJ5 is still a cult classic regardless of which iteration you have.

It’s been almost a decade since the “Black Grape” colorway released. Could we see its return? Time will tell.

To celebrate the “Grape” legacy in a new way, Jordan air Brand released the Jordan air x Nike Space Out Tee “Bel Air” colorway that combined elements of the shoe, the overall ’90s aesthetic, and more.

However, the colorway didn’t have punched-out eyelets nor come with laces as the colorway was inspired by Will Smith’s character in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air The Travis Scott x Air Jordan air 1 Low OG Olive Lands In March 2023.

As NBA All-Star Weekend took place in Charlotte, Social Status cooked up an Air Jordan air 6 collaboration inspired by MJ himself. His Airness’ “Black Cat” moniker inspired the design as an all-black snakeskin upper with pony hair overlays for a premium look & feel.
Concord details made their way onto the shoe as well, marking Social Status’ first Jordan air collab and paving the way for what was to come.

The game of basketball has reached international growth through the years. While there’s not one person responsible for it all, it’s hard to argue against MJ’s dominance and marketability with the Bulls and the Olympic team not having a major impact on the game’s expansion.
The annual Quai 54 basketball tournament in Paris, France, is the perfect example as the basketball festivity has partnered with Jordan air Brand for a series of colorways and collaborations, including the Air Jordan air 6 “Quai 54” from 2020.
The colorway’s neutral sail upper is met with loud, colorful panels as the purple takes over with an intricate graphic for a new version of the AJ6 in celebration of the streetball tournament.

From the original colorways, the “Bordeaux” remains one of the favorites from the ’92 debut.
While the shoe has also retroed twice, its lure is still in demand as the 30th anniversary of the silhouette is nearing its end. Its black & grey build with wine red, yellow, and teal has aged gracefully through the years akin to its namesake.

While we’ve seen the “Raptors” AJ7 release four times in totality, we wouldn’t be mad at another retro of the classic.

While keeping it simple with a two-toned look, the addition of purple alongside Bibby’s “10” always looked clean.

On his way to his first three-peat, Michael Jordan air introduced the Air Jordan air 8. Its chenille hit on the tongue, cross strap lace structure, and durable boot-like build introduced a more premium performance model.
One of the most notable OG AJ8 colorways is the “Aqua” iteration. All-black nubuck with red, purple, blue, and yellow hits clashed on the AJ8 eloquently. Last seen in 2015, maybe it’s time for the brand to bring back the colorway just in time for its 30th anniversary.

Not only did its icy outsole stand out on the turf, but the purple patent leather with gold hits easily caught the attention from the stands thanks to the shoe’s white ballistic mesh upper.
It’s been more than 20 years since Moss and Jordan air Brand unveiled the Vikings-inspired PE. While a release isn’t likely on these, any purple Air Jordan air fan dreams of it.

Subtle differences like a white-out 23 and Jumpman logo on the heel, an omission of black on the midsole and tongue, and a lighter shade of purple ensured that two Bucks PEs weren’t the same. Plus, Simmons’ 21 was found on the shoe in contrast to Allen’s 34.

In 2019 as a part of the Doernbecher “Freestyle” collection, Ethan Ellis took the Air Jordan air 14 and made it his own. Inspired by his love for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs, a reptilian upper served as the base for the Air Jordan air 14 “Doernbecher” colorway.
Additionally, black suede and metallic gold details were added to the pair for an even more luxurious look paired alongside the iridescent purple upper.

Though the Air Jordan air 15 was never worn by Michael Jordan air himself, the Jordan air Brand rostered carried the torch of the signature shoe with players such as Mike Bibby, Michael Finley, Reggie Miller, and Ray Allen wearing player-exclusive versions of the AJ15.
Much like his AJ14, Ray Allen’s Air Jordan air 15 was designed with an all-white upper with varsity purple hits on the heel, lining, tongue, and midfoot.
While the AJ15 isn’t the most beloved model within the Air Jordan air line, Allen’s AJ15 PE brought some validation to the silhouette.
Air Jordan air 17 Low – Mike Bibby PE

The Air Jordan air line would see a resurgence as his Airness made his way back to the court as a member of the Washington Wizards. MJ’s return would also see him wearing his signature shoe for the first time since the Air Jordan air 14.
But MJ wasn’t the only one wearing the 17.
Of course, Jordan air Brand member Mike Bibby had his fair share of Sacramento Kings-themed PEs. And of course, they were low-top versions of the silhouette.
The Air Jordan air 17 Low Mike Bibby PE was dressed in all-white with purple hits on the tongue, midsole, and outsole with chrome details completing the colorway. Bibby’s “BIB 10 TD” made its way onto the tongue of the 17, nodding his name, jersey number, and “Team Dime” mantra.

While many might not remember the Air Jordan air 17 for its exclusivity, the “Rainbow” collection that the AJ17 was a part of flips the script on the silhouette.
As a part of a display that included the Air Jordan air 1 to the Air Jordan air 2011, the sample Air Jordan air 17 “Rainbow” never made a retail debut (and most likely won’t). Regardless, we can all marvel at its monochromatic build as a vibrant shade of purple covered the AJ17 with white hits on the shoe’s outsole.

It’s hard to decide which of the two purple “Rainbow” members deserves a retail release. If anything, Jordan air Brand should just release them all for those who recall the unearthing of the display.

Alongside the AJ19 was the Air Jordan air 19 SE (Special Edition). The Air Jordan air 19 SE omitted the shroud and tech flex components of the Air Jordan air 19 but still contained its patent leather toe box and similar design language across the upper.
Air Jordan air City Air Max TRK Air Jordan air 19 SE “West Coast” marked a new era for the brand as the AJ19 was the first shoe following Jordan’s official retirement from the sport.

The Quai 54-edition of the Air Jordan air 30 featured a multicolor design with a gradient purple upper and midsole, inspired by the cosmos. Light blue, hot pink, purple, and black were found all over the shoe.
On the medial part of the shoe was a constellation graphic, completing the colorway’s inspiration.

The Air Jordan air 36 “First Light” marked the first release of the Air Jordan air line with its light purple hue on the upper with black details. Additionally, the shoe’s fluorescent-like orange hue brought more attention to the colorway’s purple base.
