In addition to the Nike Ja 1 “Chimney” (inspired by Ja’s quote, “[w]e climb up the chimney, we ain’t ducking no smoke”) & the Nike Ja 1 “Day One” (inspired by Ja approaching each day like it’s day one of basketball while also celebrating those that have been there since day one) colorways, the Swoosh has officially unveiled the Nike Ja 1 “Scratch” — inspired by the team’s Vancouver Grizzlies classic color palette.
The shoe is designed in a primarily teal upper with a red liner & black hits on the laces, Swoosh, outsole, and the shoe’s clawed aesthetic — further tying the shoe to the Vancouver Grizzlies and its old school logo. Brown details are found on the tongue tags with Morant’s chevron logo & the “12” on the Out heel.
