Following a few teasers given by LeBron James himself, including this opulent “Gold” iteration and “Violet Dust” colorway, Nike has now officially unveiled James’ newest signature: the LeBron 21.

The upcoming Nike LeBron 21 not only marks James’ 21st signature but also marks the All-Star’s 21st season in the NBA. The pair, inspired by his 8-year-old daughter, Zhuri, is constructed from lightweight materials and features a venting system in the upper as well as a shell-like design to help contain the player during explosive movements. Lightweight mono-mesh reinforced by 360 degrees of zonal cables is spotlighted around the midfoot, which also helps to support and secure the player over the footbed. Perforations on the medial Swoosh logos provide enhanced breathability.

Nike Zoom Hypercross Snow Camo LeBron 21 is equipped with a Zoom Turbo unit in the forefoot and a bottom-loaded, 13-millimeter Zoom unit to support propulsion. A full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam carrier for a pillowy feel and a TPU midfoot shank provide stability and extra pop for dynamic movements.

“As we took our next steps from the LeBron XX, we were inspired by the way LeBron maintains his body and his game during the offseason,” says Jason Petrie, Lead Designer for the LeBron 21. “His trainer says it’s like taking care of an F1 car. You tweak the car between each race. You don’t need to rebuild the car completely. We wanted to retain some of the elements we know he loved, like the Zoom Turbo unit, but refine some of the finishes in the upper.”

Fans will be able to purchase the DeMarcus Cousins boys Nike Air Max Dominate PE Dunk High Pro Decon Gorge Green “Akoya” colorway when it releases on September 28 via SNKRS and select retailers. Keep it locked to our Sneaker Release Dates Calendar for updates.
