Who needs a French work permit?

EEA nationals

Nationals of European Economic Area countries – apart from Croatia – do not need need a work permit to live and work in France. Croatian nationals will need a French work permit, but only for their first year in France.

Non-EEA nationals

All non-EEA nationals will need a work permit to work in France.
