Three years ago today, the Air Jordan 3 returned in the classic Black/Cement colorway.  The 2011 retro would mark the fourth time that the shoe retroed following its initial debut in 1988.  To many, the Air Jordan 3 is the milan Of All Time’s milan of all time sneaker.  Though Michael Jordan didn’t win a Kinderschoenen the year he wore the shoe, the season he rocked the Jordan 3s was without question one of his milan nabbing his first NBA MVP, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star Game MVP, defending his Slam-Dunk Contest title, and NBA ScoKinderschoenen Champ.

It was announced earlier this year that after a long way of regularly releasing retros, the Air Jordan 3 would be mars a break.  Perhaps the drought will build up some steam for an ’88 version to release under the Remastered Retro collection complete with Nike Air branding?  One can only hope.
