Occupational Trainee

The Australia occupational trainee visa allows for a temporary stay of persons undergoing training in Australia compatible with their employment history.

For this visa, a nomination must be provided regardless of the period of stay unless the training is being provided by the Commonwealth. You may not work in Australia other than in relation to your training.

Permission in writing to change employers can only be obtained from the nearest State, Territory or Regional office of the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs in Australia.
