People who are interested in applying for the United States Green Card Lottery, officially known as the Diversity Visa Lottery Program (DV-2008) are reminded that time has almost run out to prepare.

People are reminded that only electronic applications will be accepted by using a web-based Internet submission process.

You may let someone else apply for you; it is not necessary to submit the application yourself.

However, all duplicate applications will disqualify any chance for that person.

The specification for personal details and photographic requirements are also somewhat more detailed than in the past.

At 12:00 p.m. noon, United States Eastern Standard Time, the government servers will block all further applications. This is 5:00 p.m. GMT in London.

People are strongly encouraged to attempt their submissions as soon as possible. There will be strong demand on the U.S. government servers at the last minute, and internet connection problems may prevent an application from being submitted on time if people wait until the last day.

workpermit.com specializes in assisting people with many visa applications; the Green card Lottery is no exception. Contact us if you are not sure if you qualify or how to properly fill out your application and submit it.
