UK Visa, Brexit Party and European Elections
By Sanwar Ali
Nigel Farage the former leader of UKIP the UK Independence Party is now founder and leader of the Brexit Party. The Brexit Party which was launched little more than a month ago, is doing astonishingly well with thirty-four percent of the vote according to a recent opinion poll. The European Elections occur in a few day’s time on 23 May 2019. It is expected that the Conservative Party, especially, will do very badly.
…It seems that on the right there are mixed messages on immigration anyway. Many in the Leave Campaign during the EU Referendum had previously said that immigration policy would be relaxed for non-EU migrants after Brexit. However, it appears that Nigel Farage has tougher views on immigration…
US E2 Visa Improvement Act to help E2 children
By Sanwar Ali
The E2 visa program has many benefits for migrants. E2 Treaty Investor visa allows entry to the US for businessmen, their families, employees, with a far lower investment requirement, than say the EB5 immigrant investor visa that requires an investment of at least $500,000 and the creation of at least ten jobs. The E2 visa scheme is based on trade agreements with the US, with the first Country in the World to come under the E2 visa and E1 visa scheme being the UK in 1815…
Children of E2 visa holders:
Once children reach the age of 21 years of age they can no longer remain under the E2 visa scheme. This is a serious problem for many E2 visa migrants. The options to stay in the US for children after reaching twenty-one years of age is somewhat limited.
UK Visa Entrepreneur and Tier 2 work visa Update
There were high hopes for the UK Innovator visa and Start-Up visa schemes introduced on what was supposed to be Brexit day on 29 March 2019. However, it seems that it will be difficult to come under these schemes. The big problem is with the requirements of endorsing bodies which is likely to be tough. In addition, the number of endorsements available is quite small, with an initial allocation of endorsements of twenty-five each for the current twenty endorsing bodies. It seems that the new schemes may turn out to be more difficult to come under than the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa scheme that they replace.
We look below into the difficulties with obtaining endorsements for the Innovator visa and Start-Up visa schemes and also alternatives to these UK visa schemes.
US Visa for Business and Work under Donald Trump
US visas can be difficult to obtain, with the options for entry somewhat limited. If you wish to live and work in the US and entry is not based on family, then usually you need to have a job offer or you need to start a business. Even with a job offer it can be difficult obtaining a work visa for the US. It has become more difficult under Donald Trump to obtain non-immigrant work visas such as the L1 visa, E2 visa, H1B visa, B1 in lieu of H1B visa and H2B visa.
