Good availability of Tier 2 Visa Certificates of Sponsorship in March
The number of Tier 2 Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) available for allocation in March according to the Government table is 2329. This is not a precise figure. From past experience it is likely to be more than that. The actual number will probably be similar to the number available in February 2016. UK Visas and Immigration published its February report stating that its figures were correct as of 17 February, 2016.
An employer with a Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship Licence needs to apply for Certificates of Sponsorship for immigrants from outside the EU that they wish to employ. Under the current UK immigration system, unused Tier 2 restricted CoS to employ people who are currently based outside the UK can be reclaimed after three months. This increases the availability of restricted CoSs.
Donald Trump: Immigration could spell 'end of Europe'
In his first ever interview with the French media, Donald Trump has waded into the European Union's immigration debate, declaring that immigration could signal the 'end of Europe.' Trump, the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for the US Presidency, is infamous for his views on US immigration.
During his first campaign interview with the French media, Trump said that Europe is on course for 'revolutions' and 'collapse' and faces a potential backlash against immigration. He also felt the need to defend his proposed ban on muslim entry to the US. He claimed that some muslims are his 'best friends.' It is true to say that Trump has been financially dependent on rich muslims in the past.

Controversial Tier 2 visa salary threshold debated by MPs
The Tier 2 visa salary threshold requirement of £35,000 to gain indefinite leave to remain for Tier 2 visa holders was debated by MPs on 7 March. The policy was branded ‘destructive and discriminatory’ by the UK’s Labour Party. It was debated following the decision by the Petitions Committee – a group set up by the House of Commons to analyse e-petitions to go ahead with the debate.
The petition opposing the policy, submitted by campaign group Stop35K, reached more than 100,000 signatures. The policy of increasing the Tier 2 visa salary threshold to £35,000 was forced through without a Commons vote, and without proper scrutiny according to a report published by The Independent newspaper.
Claims Trump will cut the number of H-1B, B1 and L-1 visas issued
The leading candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination, Donald Trump, will stop jobs in Alabama being outsourced to foreign nationals by cutting the number of H-1B, B1 and L-1 visas issued . That’s the view of Jack [also known as Jay] Palmer, a whistleblower in the largest H-1B and B1 visa fraud settlement in the United States.
However, many people may be somewhat sceptical of Trump’s willingness to carry through with his anti-immigration policies as Trump companies have a long history of employing illegal immigrant Hispanics and employing other overseas nationals in preference to local workers. It has also been said that in reality Trump is a liberal on immigration.
