In order to be eligible for a Canadian Start Up visa applicants must secure investment and/or a letter of support from one of several eligible venture capital funds, investment groups, or business incubator programs. A full list of eligible organisations can be found below.
Venture capital funds
To use a Canadian venture capital fund as a supporting organisation the business must receive a minimum of CND $200,000 in investment and a letter of support from one of the following groups:
Blackberry Partners Fund II LP (doing business as Relay Ventures Fund II)
Celtic House Venture Partners (Celtic House Venture Partners Fund III LP; Celtic House Venture Partners Fund IV LP)
PRIVEQ Capital Funds (PRIVEQ III Limited Partnership; PRIVEQ IV Limited Partnership)
Quorum Group (Advantage Growth (No.2) LP; Ontario SME Capital Corporation; Quorum Investment Pool Limited Partnership; Quorum Secured Equity Trust)
Westcap Mgt. Ltd. (Canadian Accelerator Fund Ltd)
Angel investor groups
To use an angel investor group as a supporting organisation the business must recieve at least CND $75,000 and a letter of support from an investor or investors affiliated with one of the following:

In order to use a business incubator as a supporting organisation the business must be accepted into, and receive a letter of support from, one of the following programs:
