G'day UK 2009 Australian immigration Expo

G'dayUK is a series of events that will show visitors what it is like to live in Australia. It will cover four main areas:
  • Migration and tourism
  • Trade & investment
  • Food & wine,

The event will highlight the unique range of skills, resources and opportunities offered by Australia. It is expected that the event will lead to increased interest from prospective migrants to Australia and increase the level of business interest in Australia.

From Sunday 21 June 2009 to Saturday 4 July 2009 there will be a wide range of events including a Migration Open Day in Manchester, a Migration Expo in London, Australian food and drink related promotions in Selfridges and numerous cultural events.

From 27 to 28 June 2009 the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, will be holding an Australia Needs Skills expo in London. This is a free invitation only event with Australian employers and state government representatives interested in sponsoring skilled workers in a range of fields.

A number of well known Australians will be attending including politicians, business leaders, artists, winemakers and chefs. G'DayUK is an excellent opportunity to learn more about living and working in Australia.

G'dayUK 2009 is supported by the New South Wales, Queensland, South Australian, Victorian and Western Australian State Governments, Australian Trade Commission, Qantas and Tourism Australia in conjunction with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Wine Australia, Australian Business and key private sector sponsors.
