Critics of Donald Trump have accused the American President of abusing his position and using the US military to push his ‘anti-immigrant agenda’. The accusation comes as Trump orders the deployment of 5,200 US troops to the US border with Mexico, presumably to prevent these people claiming asylum or some type of US visa. In an inflammatory tweet posted just before US midterm elections, Trump wrote: ‘our Military is waiting for you!’

The US visa migrant caravan is still moving towards the US border.  Trying to gain political advantage from this US President Donald Trump has made a number of allegations about the Immigrant Caravan many of which are actually untrue:

President Trump signed the KIWI Act into law on 1 August 2018.  The bill had been introduced by Senators Mazie K. Hirono – Democratic representative for Hawaii - and Mike Lee – Republican representative for Utah, to make it possible for New Zealanders to access US E1 treaty trade and E2 treaty investor visas.

Major Israeli-US E2 visa developments could potentially bring an end to a saga stretching back years. According to media outlets across the Middle Eastern nation, the Knesset Internal Affairs Committee has finally approved a long-awaited, reciprocal immigration programme for US investors.

The Knowledgeable Innovators and Worthy Investors Act (KIWI Act), which will give New Zealanders access to US E1 treaty trader and E2 treaty investor visas, has been welcomed by New Zealand’s acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. As recently reported by Workpermit.com, the KIWI Act passed the US Senate on June 28, unanimously.

An L1 visa pilot scheme, targeting Canadian executives transferring to the US for their companies, is stripping them of a ‘perk’ they have enjoyed for years under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). In the tiny US border town of Blaine, Washington DC, Canadian executives are no longer able to have their L1 visa processed on-the-spot.
