A post-Brexit immigration study by Migration Watch UK argues that Polish and Romanian tradespeople should only be allowed a UK visa for two to three years, in a bid to reduce UK immigration numbers. In addition, anti-migrant think-tank Migration Watch UK is urging the UK government to introduce a UK ‘barista visa’ for lower-skilled workers aged 18 to 30.

New figures show that the number of sole representative visa of UK business granted by the UK Visa and Immigration has declined by 11% since Britain voted to leave the European Union. According to figures released in 2015/16, 140 international companies looking to establish a new UK branch were granted a sole representative visa.

A Home Office letter, written on behalf of UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd, is ‘advising’ EU citizens to ‘go home or go elsewhere’ because they have the ‘freedom to travel across the EU and can visit, live and in most cases work in any other EU member state.
