New information published by the Home Office shows that just 12% of Windrush compensation claimants have received a pay-out. According to official figures, published on 29 October, 71 claims have been made for people who have died, but only three have been compensated.

 

The information also shows that a total of 1,587 claims have been made up until the end of September, with £1,619,291.42 paid out to 196 people, representing just 12% of people who have applied to the Windrush compensation scheme.

Hundreds of people are reportedly being refused Irish visas amid fears that they will use Irish immigration status to enter the UK mainland. New figures show that Ireland is seemingly helping the British government enforce its anti-immigration policies.

 

Previously unseen data, obtained by VICE News, shows a spike in UK visa refusals, while hundreds more were denied entry upon landing in Irish airports, on grounds that they ‘might travel onward’ to the UK.

New UK immigration system would disqualify 8 in 10 current EU care workers

 

A new study claims that eight in 10 EU care workers currently employed in Britain would not have been eligible for UK visas under the government’s new immigration system set to launch on 1 January 2021. The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) think tank has warned that the new system will harm the UK’s economic recovery from COVID-19.

As we have mentioned in the past there is a serious problem with the ethics and morality of agencies in the Government.  There are many allegations of discrimination and numerous instances of unlawful behaviour.  The Boris Johnson Government pretends most of the time that these problems do not exist.

Following the Chinese security law in Hong Kong many Hong Kong people are scared about the future.  Dissenters are already facing a crackdown in Hong Kong.  China has been accused of running “concentration camps”.  Recently Hong Kong activist Tony Chung was detained while seeking asylum at the US Consulate.
