President Donald Trump, via his US visas travel bans for certain mainly muslim Countries, tried and to a great extent failed to prevent the entry of refugees from the war torn nation of Syria. Like his predecessor President Barack Obama Trump has had difficulty with US Courts who, in his case, have suspended his travel bans. According to an international NGO, which facilitates scholarships for refugees, the US is not willing to take in displaced Syrian citizens. Instead, they’ve been forced to seek help from Argentina.

A report published by Forbes – a leading global media company – states that Chinese investors are turning to the US L1 visa to extend their stay in America. The report comes amid increasing uncertainty over the future of the EB5 green card program.

The ongoing E2 treaty investor visa saga between the US and Israel could be resolved by October 2017, according to the US Department of State. The debacle surrounding the availability of the coveted US E2 visa has dragged on for years, but a statement released by the State Department suggested that it could be available by October 2017.

US employers are spending over three times more on foreign workers on  US visas such as the L1 and H1B visa than they are on American labor, and it’s taking recruiters up to six times longer to add overseas labor to the workforce compared with hiring a native worker, according to the results of the 2016 Employer Immigration Metrics Survey.
