Australian Immigration and Priority Processing of Visas

How quickly Australian visas are granted depends largely on their processing priority. In 2012 the Australian Minister for Immigration and Citizenship laid out a new system for determining different Australian visa application processing times.

Priority processing is broken into 5 groups in order of priority, with group 1 being processed the fastest. Understanding these times is an important factor in deciding which visa you'd like to apply for.

The following table gives a detailed breakdown of the processing times for different visa applications.
